SAP FMS is a vertically integrated system to bring Manufacturing, Wholesale, Retail and Digital business functions in to a single platform powered by SAP HANA. Some of the key benefits of the new version will be,
:: Better inventory visibility throughout the complete business processes will help to optimize inventory management in Retail/ Wholesale/ manufacturing.

:: Integrated single platform might help to cut down the IT infrastructure investment and operating/ support costs.   (Formally operated separately with SAP ERP with IS- Retail and IS-AFS).

SAP new AFS version to be released in 2014

There is a new SAP Consumer Products IS- Apparel and Footwear version is to be released in 2014. According to latest SAP press release this new version is called "SAP Fashion Management Solution (SAP FMS)". Latest version currently available in the market is SAP Apparel and Footwear 6.6.

The new version is going to be vertically integrated in AFS Wholesales and Retail to address various challengers facing in the IS-AFS and Retail solutions.
